FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's tennis team defeated the University of New Mexico 4-1 on Saturday at home at the Titan Courts. 

The Titans have won their 8th match in a row after starting the season out 1-2.  

The Titans had to play from behind after dropping the doubles point to the Lobos.  The Lobos won on Court 2 and Court 3 6-2 to earn the first point of the match.

With the sides only playing until clinch point, it came down to singles where once again the Titans shined.  Milena Gevorgyan earned the first point after dropping just one game in Court No. 5 and winning 6-0, 6-1 over Ramona Petre.  Amelia Zylberman was almost as good after dropping just two games in the first set on Court 3 as she defeated Yu Yun "Kathy" Tsai 6-2, 6-0 to make it 2-1.  Martina Markov secured the next point for the Titans on Court No. 1 after defeating Bente Vandeputte 6-4, 6-3.  Emilie Lugon-Moulin sealed the win on Court 2 in a three set battle against Vianca Corley.  After dropping the first set 7-5, she won the next two sets 6-3, 6-1 

The Titans will close out the week win a match against the University of Richmond tomorrow at 11:00 a.m.
