BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton dropped game two at CSU Bakersfield by a final score of 9-3 Saturday evening. The Titans drop to 5-9 on the year and 1-1 Big West play.Â
The Titans fell behind in the bottom of the third inning after a two-run home run by CSU Bakersfield.Â
Fullerton got on the board in the top of the fourth inning on an RBI single by Paul Contreras to score Cameron Kim from third base.Â
CSU Bakersfield immediately responded with two runs in the home half of the inning on another two-run home run to take a 4-1 lead.Â
The Titans countered with two runs in the top of the fifth inning on a two-run single by Nick Miller to bring home Cam Burdick and Andrew Kirchner, cutting the deficit to 4-3.Â
CSUB put up five runs in the bottom of the sixth to take a commanding 9-3 lead.Â
The two teams will meet for the rubber game Sunday afternoon at Hardt Field. First pitch is set for 1:00 p.m.
