CONVERGENCE SCHEDULE

FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women' water polo team opened the week with a 20-8 win over Carthage College at home at the Titans Aquatic Center.

The Titans improved to 13-8 for the season.  

The Titans had nine unique goal scorers with Kenzie Searle leading the team with four goals.  Isabella Schulze had a hat trick. Destiny Hernandez, Delaney Latham, Jade Lonzo, Abby Lockman, Stephanie Hidalgo, and Sofia Moschetti all had two goals.  Mia Hatch got on the scoresheet as well. Alexandra Ortiz earned the win after playing the first two quarters in the cage while Isabella Walker played a majority of the second half.

Both sides traded goals to start the game as Kenzie Searle scored the first goal of the game.  The Firebirds got one back before Isabella Schulze and Abby Lockman scored to make it a 3-1 game.

The Titans outscored the Firebirds 6-to-2 in the second quarter.  After a Firebird goal to start the quarter, the Titans scored five straight goals from Latham, Moschetti (x2), Searle, and Hidalgo to make it an 8-2 game.  The Firebirds got one goal back before Jade Lonzo scored before the quarter ended to make it a 9-3 game.

In the third quarter, the Titans outscored Carthage 7-to-1.  The Titans scored four straight to start the quarter from Searle (x2), Latham, and Lockman. The Firebirds scored midway through the quarter before Hernandez (x2) and Lonzo scored to make it a 16-4 game.

Both teams scored four goals a piece in the 4th quarter as Isalla Schulze scored twice along with Stephanie Hidalgo and Mia Hatch.

The Titans will play four more times this weekend with two games on Friday and two games on Saturday.  

The Titans, one of the hosts of the Convergence Tournament, will take on Santa Clara at 2 PM before finishing the night with a match against Mount Saint Mary's at 7 PM.
