FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton men's basketball Head Coach,
Dedrique Taylor was named a 2025-26 finalist for the Skip Prosser Man of the Year Award on Monday. Taylor is one of 25 finalists for the CollegeInsider.com honor.
The Skip Prosser Man of the Year Award is presented to the Division I coach who wins with integrity on and off the court. The annual award recipient is determined by a 10-member voting committee, consisting of current and former head coaches as well as two senior staff members from CollegeInsider.com.
Coming off a 6-26 year, Taylor has coached the Titans to a turn-around season, tallying 15 wins with two games remaining in the regular season. In his 13 seasons at Cal State Fullerton, Coach Taylor has led the men's basketball program to two out of four NCAA Tournament appearances (2018 and 2022).
Coach Taylor and Cal Poly's Head Coach, Mike DeGeorge, are the only two finalists to represent the Big West Conference. The 2026 award recipient will be announced in Indianapolis, Ind., site of the men's basketball Division I Basketball Championship.
