Titans Head Coach Dedrique Taylor was named Big West Coach of the Year as he coached two Titans to All-Big West awards.

FULLERTON, Calif. – The Big West conference announced the All-Big West awards on Tuesday evening, ahead of the Big West Conference Championships. Three Fullerton Titans made the annual list of All-Big West honors, including Titans head coach, Dedrique Taylor.

The conference teams and awards are determined by all 11 head coaches in the Big West. Coach Taylor was named The Big West Coach of the Year while Joshua Ward made the 2025-26 All-Big West Second Team and Jefferson De La Cruz Monegro made All-Big West Honorable Mention.

In his 13th year as Titans head coach, Taylor led the Titans to a No. 3 seed, heading back to Henderson for the conference tournament for the first time in two years. Taylor's 2025-26 award is his first career Coach of the Year award. After being projected to finish last in the conference, Coach Taylor shocked the conference, leading the team to a 12-8 record in conference and 17-15 overall this season.

The senior from Memphis, Tennessee logged a .453% field goal percentage and a 32% shooting percentage from the three-point line. Ward also logged 142 rebounds, 50 steals and 16 blocks.

Ward was named Big West Player of the Week in January when he led the team to a 2-0 week with 39 points, 17 rebounds, 11 assists, seven steals, and four blocks.  He also earned Portland Invitational MTE All-Tournament Team in November.

Jefferson De La Cruz Monegro made All-Big West Honorable Mention with his standout season at Cal State Fullerton. The Titans senior from La Salle, Quebec, Canada made his mark, leading the team with 114 free throws. De La Cruz Monegro finished second in the Big West with his .891 free throw percentage. He started in 31 games and tallied 372 points, 135 rebounds, 71 assists, 27 steals, and 12 blocks. De La Cruz Monegro also tallied his 1,000th career point earlier this season against UC Davis.
