FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton Softball fell to Portland State 3-1 on Saturday on Day Three of the Easton Classic. The Titans moved to 3-2 on the season heading into the tournament's final day Sunday.
Micayla Turi made her collegiate debut behind the plate, recording seven putouts and one assist. She helped turn a double play in the fourth inning after
Eva Hurtado initiated the play from the circle to escape a bases-loaded jam.

Portland State took a 1-0 lead in the third inning on an infield single. Fullerton tied the game in the fifth when shortstop
Sarah Perez drove in the Titans' lone run with a single down the left-field line.
The teams were tied at 1-1 until the top of the seventh, when Portland State scored two runs on a single up the middle to take a 3-1 lead.
The Vikings saw all of Fullerton's available pitchers.
Leanna Garcia made her first start since returning from injury, tossing two scoreless innings with three strikeouts.
Hana Winton walked two batters in the third inning. Hurtado threw 4.1 innings, allowing two runs on six hits while striking out three.
Trisha McCleskey pitched the final outs, allowing one hit and striking out one.
The Titans return to Anderson Family Field on Sunday for a second meeting with Boise State at 10:00 a.m.Â
