FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's tennis team fell blank to the Grand Canyon University Lopes on Sunday afternoon at the Titan Courts.

The Titans fell to 0-2 to start the 2026 dual season.

The Titans fell behind early in the match after dropping the doubles point.  The Lopes won 6-2 on courts one and two to clinch the doubles point.

In singles, the Titans showed their fight despite losing the match.  GCU took a 3-0 lead in singles after winning in No. 1 and No. 5 singles.  Chloe Schwarz secured the first point of the weekend for the Titans after winning in straight sets (7-5, 6-3) in No. 6 singles.

The Lopes clinched the match point in No. 2 singles.  Martina Markov won the first set 6-4 before losing the next two sets 6-1, 6-4 as Bella Crossman secured the win for the Lopes.

They played out the rest of the matches on Court 3 and Court 4 as Seha Yu (Court 3) and Amelia Zylberman (Court 4) both took their matches to the third set. Seha Yu fell in a tiebreak in Set 3 while Amelia Zylberman defeated her opponent 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) to give the Titans their final point from the match.  

The Titans will head to Hawai'i next weekend for their next matches.  The Titans will take on Hawaii Pacific University on Friday before taking on the University of Hawai'i on Saturday.
