Women’s Basketball Welcomes Three to the Coaching Staff

FULLERTON, Calif. - Head Coach John Bonner named Brittany Aikens, Katelyn Cole, and Morgan Greene to his inaugural coaching staff of the Cal State Fullerton Titans women's basketball team.

"I am very excited to have the opportunity to work alongside these incredible human beings," said Bonner.  "In building a staff, I wanted to make sure that I surrounded our team with individuals that shared an aligned vision of success, with the foundation set on a "family" approach. Coaches that understand how to cultivate relationships with our student athletes and provide them with guidance to not only develop their skills as an athlete, but even more importantly, to develop them as individuals preparing for life beyond college.  Each of these coaches will make huge contributions within our program and with our student athletes, both on and off the court!"

Brittany Aikens makes her return to Cal State Fullerton as an assistant coach and the head recruiting coordinator.  Aikens coached for the Titans from 2022-2024 before coaching one season at Army West Point last year.

"I'm incredibly grateful to Coach Bonner and the athletic department for welcoming me back with open arms," said Aikens. Returning to Southern California feels like coming home for my wife and me. I've known Coach Bonner for years and have always respected his passion for the game. I'm honored to support him in this new chapter and excited to help build something special together. Go Titans!"

Aikens served as Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Army West Point, where she helped lead the Black Knights to a 25-win season—tied for the second-most in program history—and a runner-up finish in both the Patriot League regular season and championship tournament. She coached First Team All-Patriot League and All-Defensive Team selection Trinity Hardy, as well as Second Team All-Patriot League honoree Reese Erickson.

During her previous stint at Cal State Fullerton, she assisted on the offensive side of the ball and helped guide the Titans to back-to-back Big West Tournament appearances. She coached several all-conference players, including All-Big West Second Team honorees Fujika Nimmo and Una Jovanovic.

Before Fullerton, Aikens spent two seasons at Seattle University, assisting on defense and playing a key role in the development of standout guard Bree Calhoun, who earned WAC Sixth Woman of the Year, Second Team All-WAC, and WAC All-Defensive Team honors.

Aikens began her coaching career at the University of Nevada, Reno, first as a graduate assistant while earning her master's degree, then as Director of Player Development, gaining valuable experience in recruiting, scouting, and individual player growth.

Morgan Greene was named an assistant coach after coming over from Cal State San Bernardino where she worked under former Cal State Fullerton assistant coach Cassandra Renno.

"It's a tremendous honor to join Coach Bonner and the Cal State Fullerton women's basketball program, " said Greene." I feel a powerful connection to the vision of building something bigger than basketball — a family-driven culture where our student-athletes are empowered to grow, lead, and compete at the highest level. I'm inspired by the passion and purpose of the program, and together, we're committed to creating an environment where excellence is the standard and every voice matters. I'm excited, determined and ready to help elevate this program to new heights!"

Greene coached at CSUB for the past three seasons. Each year she was there the Yotes were able to add to their win totals after going .500 in her first season, their first postseason appearance the following year in 2023-24, and finally their best season in a decade after going 16-12 this past season.

Greene played collegiately at Cal State East Bay winning two championships in her time with the Pioneers and was the leader in the CCAA and the Nation in rebounds and Double Doubles as a Sophomore, garnered 2 All-Conference Honors and accrued 1,000 points in only 3 active seasons as a Pioneer.  Greene was an integral part of championship Team KPA (Kenya Port Authority) during the 2023 FIBA Africa Qualifiers in Rwanda. Greene also played for the Solent Kestrels in the U.K. where she was awarded Player of the Year-South Team MVP while also gaining her MSc in Sports Science and Performance Coaching.

Katelyn Cole was named the Director of Operations and will also serve an assistant coach.

"I am honored and excited to continue working under the leadership of Coach Bonner, said Cole." His vision, energy, and commitment to the game and the students that he coaches, makes me excited to see what we can build here at Cal State Fullerton. The future is bright, and I'm grateful to contribute to this program's growth and success."

Cole previously served as an assistant coach under head coach John Bonner at Cal State Dominguez Hills. During her time on the staff at Cal State Dominguez Hills, the Toros won two CCAA Regular Season Championships (2023/25) and one CCAA Tournament Championship (2025).  The Toros also were the NCAA Division II West Regional Champions in 2023 and 2025.  The 2025 team also made it all the way to the 20025 NCAA Division II Championship where they were the national runner-up.

As a player at Cal State Dominguez Hills under John Bonner, she started half of her 61 appearances and averaged 15.2 minutes on the floor. She scored 110 points and grabbed 126 rebounds while being credited for 61 assists and 42 steals.
