IRVINE, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's tennis team defeated UC Irvine 5-2 on the road on Sunday at the Anteaters Tennis Stadium.

The Titans moved to 9-7 overall for the season and 3-3 in conference play.  

The Titans won the doubles point and started the match with a 1-0 lead.  The No. 3 pairing of Kaytlin Taylor and Seha Yu won their match 6-1 for the first point.  The No. 1 pairing of Sein Myoung and Milena Gevorgyan won their match 6-3 to clinch the doubles point.

In singles, the Titans ahead 3-0 early after Kaytlin Taylor won her No. 6 singles match 6-2, 6-0.  Milena Gevorgyan won her No. 5 singles match 6-3, 6-1 to give the Titans a 3-0 lead.  The Anteaters got one point after winnning in No. 3 singles to make it a 3-1 game.  Sein Myoung secured the match point in No. 1 singles after winning 7-5, 7-6 (7-5).  Both sides played out the match with the Titans winning one of the two final points as Seha Yu won in No. 2 singles 2-6, 6-3, 7-5 and the Anteaters won in No. 4 singles.

The Titans will continue their road trip next weekend when they head to the Central Coast to take on Cal Poly and UC Santa Barbara.
