SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's tennis team concluded a 4-game road trip with a 6-1 loss against No. 42 UC Santa Barbara at the Arnhold Tennis Center on Sunday afternoon. 

The Titans fell to 9-9 overall and 3-5 in conference play.  The Titans are currenty loked into 7th position in the Big West standings.  They can improve to sixth place with a win in the Titans season finale on Saturday against UC Riverside and a UCSD loss at CSUN.  However, the Titans will be playing in the 6-vs-7 match up regardless of where they finish in the standings in the 1st round of the Big West tournament.

The Titans loss the doubles point as they fell in No. 1 and No. 3 doubles.  The usual No. 3 pair of Kaytlin Taylor and Seha Yu played in the second doubles position where their match went unfinished.

In singles, the Gauchos clinched the match after winning in straight sets in No. 3, No. 4, and No. 6 singles.  Sein Myoung was the only Titan to secure a point as she won 6-3, 6-2 in No. 1 singles.  Myoung improved to a perfect 8-0 in conference play in No. 1 singles.  The Gauchos won in No. 2 singles and in a three set tiebreak in No. 5 singles to complete the 6-1 victory over the Titans.

The Titans will host UC Riverside on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. The Titans will honor their two seniors before the match in a pregame ceremony for Mariia Nikitash and Kaytlin Taylor.
