Robinson and De Luna Go for Career Nights in Loss to Cal Poly

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The Titans (6-25) traveled to Mott Athletic Center in San Luis Obispo Thursday night to take on the Cal Poly Mustangs (12-18) in Cal Poly's final home game of the season. The Titans finished the night with three players in double digits in their 100-61 loss.

Antwan Robinson, the sophomore from St. Louis, led the way for the Titans with a career high 17 points hitting four 3-pointers along the way.

Kendrick De Luna also had a career night adding 14 points to help the struggling Titans offensively.

Senior Zach Visentin contributed 13 points on an efficient 5-of-8 shooting night with his strong presence in the paint.

Richardson carried the load early for the Titans hitting eight consecutive points that were highlighted by back-to-back threes to give the Titans a 10-8 lead with 16:16 remaining in the opening half.

Despite a few buckets from De Luna for Fullerton, Cal Poly remained focused, consistently converting on turnovers and offensive rebounds.

By the 8-minute mark, the Mustangs had built a commanding 23-point lead at 35-12.

De Luna finished the half with 12 points which was not enough to cool off the hot shooting of Cal Poly. The Titans went into the locker room trailing 52-30.

Fullerton started the half looking to build on their 14 points in the paint in the first half.

De Luna and Visentin scored the opening six points in the key to cut the Cal Poly lead to 36-54 with 18:11 left to play.

Visentin and Robinson tried to keep their team in the fight with key layups and a three-pointer, but Cal Poly's deep shooting and fast-break points were too much to handle in the end as the Mustangs hit three 3-pointers in the following two and a half minutes to ignite a 16-5 run and extend their lead to 70-41 with 12:59 remaining.

The Mustangs never looked back as they closed the game out on an 18-9 run to cap off their senior night with a 100-61 win.

The Titans are back in action Saturday night in Titan Gym at 7:00 p.m for senior night and their final game of the season.
