SAN JOSE, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's tennis team concluded their two game trip up north with a 4-1 loss to San Jose State.

The match originally scheduled for 11:00 AM was pushed back to 2:30 PM due to inclement weather.

The Titans lost the doubles point to start the match down 1-0.  Only the No. 1 Titans pairing of Sein Myoung and Milena Gevorgyan won their match, 6-3. 

In singles, the Titans were only able to win one match in a play to clinch game.  Sein Myoung lost in No. 1 singles to the ranked #97 Cheuk Ying Shek 6-2, 6-0 to give the Spartans a 2-0.  Milena Gevorgyan got a point for the Titans in No. 5 singles after winning 6-1, 7-5.  In No. 3 singles, Diana Yanotovskaya fell 6-1, 6-4 to Carla Urchoeguia to give the Spartans a 3-1 lead.  Kaytlin Taylor fell in No. 6 singles 6-2, 6-2 to Soledad Fayos to give the Spartans the win.  Seha Yu had won the first set in No. 2 singles before her match was called off and Mariia Nikitash lost the first set in a tiebreak before her match was called.

The Titans are back home this weekend for two matches.  They will host Youngstown State on Friday at 1:30 PM and Colorado State on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
