BIG WEST RELEASE

IRVINE, Calif. -  Aaliyah Stanton of the Cal State Fullerton Titans women's basketball team was the sole Titan to garner All-Conference Honors it was announced on Tuesday by the Big West. The sophomore guard, Aaliyah  was named an All-Big West Honorable Mention. 

Aaliyah Stanton led the Titans in scoring and finished in third in the conference averaging 14.3 points per game. Stanton scored the fifth most points in conference with 416 points. She had the fifth best field goal percentage shooting at a 40.9% clip and made the sixth most field goals with 140 of them.  Stanton was 10th in the conference shooting 70.4 % from the free throw line and was third in FT attempts after going 107-for-152 from the free throw line. Stanton started and played in 29 of the Titans 30 games this season after missing the season finale with a broken finger.  Out of 29 games she played this season, Stanton had double-figures in 22 of those games. She had more than 20 points in four games and scored a career high 24 points against UC Davis (1/09/2025).  Stanton led the Titans in scoring in 18 games of the 29 games she played. These are the second postseason honors for Stanton and the first during her time with the Titans. Prior to her time at Cal State Fullerton, Stanton was named to the All-Conference USA Freshman team as a freshman at UTEP.  Stanton is the 19th player in program history to have been named a Big West Honorable Mention. 



The Titans finished the 2024-25 season with a 7-23 overall record and a 5-15 record in Big West play.  The Titans finished in ninth place in the Big West Conference, one spot out of the Big West Tournament.
