CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton softball team collected their 10th win of the season in a 5-1 victory over Bethune-Cookman before falling 6-0 to Saint Mary's on their second day at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic. The Titans stand 10-5 on the season heading into their final day at the MNCC.

The Titans jumped to an early 1-0 lead over the Wildcats in the first inning with a single through the right side by
Ava Arce. Arce leads the team with 20 hits.
Sarah Perez, who reached on a fielder's choice and advanced to third on a
Colby McClinton sacrifice bunt, scored her ninth run of the season.
Fullerton plated a run in both the third and fourth inning on two base hits by Perez and
Nataly Lozano.
Alexia Lopez opened the fourth inning with a triple to right field before Lozano drove her in on a single to the opposite field to lead the Wildcats, 4-0.
Sophia Guevara (2-for-2, R, 2B, 3B) turned on an 0-1 count to kick off the sixth inning, collecting her first career triple.
Kristalyn Romulo (4-for-4, R, RBI, SB) drove Guevara in with an infield single to Bethune-Cookman's shortstop for a 5-0 lead.
The Wildcats capitalized on Fullerton's only error of the game in the seventh inning, escaping a shutout loss to the Titans, 5-1.
Leanna Garcia pitched the second complete game of her career, striking out seven batters. Garcia kept the Wildcats to three hits and one unearned run, while walking five through seven innings.

Saint Mary's found a run in the first inning on a deep sacrifice fly that took Lozano to the right field wall. The Gaels extended their lead over the Titans to 2-0 in the fifth inning, scoring from second on a misplayed ground ball by McClinton at second base.
McCleskey saw five innings of work before a home run ball to right field ended her outing. Through five frames, McCleskey allowed two earned runs off six hits, while retiring three batters on strikes.
Eva Hurtado pitched in relief of McCleskey allowing three runs on two hits, extending Fullerton's deficit to 6-0. As a team, the Titans put together six hits, leaving six runners on base in their shutout loss.
The Titans complete their run at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic on Saturday with a single game against Utah at 12:00 p.m.
