FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's tennis lost in their home opener against Sacramento State 4-3 on Sunday afternoon.

The Titans fell to 1-3 overall to the start the season while the Hornets moved to a perfect 6-0 on the season. 

The Titans started the match ahead after winning the doubles point.  No. 1 Sein Myoung and Milena Gevorgyan won their match 6-1.  The Titans lost the No. 2 doubles match before the No. 3 pairing of Kaytlin Taylor and Seha Yu clinched the point with a 6-3 win.

In singles, the Hornets took a 2-1 lead after winning in No. 3 and No. 6 singles.  Sein Myoung won her No. 1 singles match despite dropping the first set 1-6, 6-1, 6-1 to even the match at 2-2. The Hornets then went ahead 3-2 after winning their No. 2 singles match 7-6, 6-3.  The Titans tied the match at 3-3 overall after Diana Yanotovskaya won her No. 4 singles match 6-4, 7-6.  It came down to the final match at No. 5 singles where Kaytlin Taylor lost to Elena Mercioiu 6-3, 7-6.

The Titans are back at home next weekend for two against Pomona Pitzer on Saturday and UC San Diego on Sunday. First serve is set for 10:00 am on Saturday.
