FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's tennis team opened up the 2025 season with a 7-0 loss at Northern Arizona University. 

The Titans were playing their first game under new head coach, Ellie Johnson.  The Titans were also playing in an unfamiliar setting after playing Northern Arizona for the first time and just the second time on inside courts in two years.  

The Titans started the match down 1-0 after losing the doubles point.  All three pairings played their match to completion but the Titans fell 6-2, 6-3, and 6-3.

In singles, the Titans also struggled as they were beaten in straight sets in five of the six matches.  Milena Gevorgyan was the only Titan to win a set after winning the second set before falling in a tiebreak.

The Titans will head to Phoenix, Arizona where they will take on Grand Canyon University.  The doubles matches are set to kick-off at 10:00 AM PST / 11:00 AM MST.
