FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton softball announced Connie Clark as the keynote speaker for its annual Leadoff Social on Feb. 1 at the Golleher Alumni House. 

Clark pitched for the Titans under Judi Garman from 1986-87, collecting 53 wins, 20 of which were won during the 1986 national championship campaign. She was awarded the prestigious Broderick Award given to the nation's top collegiate softball player in 1987, and remains the program's leader for both the lowest opposing batting average in a single-season (.086) and most strikeouts per seven innings (8.88). 

In the Women's College World Series, the Titans went on a perfect 5-0 run, highlighted by Clark's start in the circle against Texas A&M where she pitched a one-hit, 3-0, victory with eight strikeouts. Across two seasons, Clark posted a 53-7 overall record with an earned run average of 0.37. In career statistics, Clark holds the record for opposing batting average (.121), while ranking second in winning percentage (.883), fourth in strikeouts per seven innings (7.31) and shutouts (34), and seventh in wins.

The event will begin at 4:00 p.m. with a silent auction, where all proceeds will go towards supporting the team in their upcoming season. Dinner and the program will begin at 4:30 p.m., where attendees will enjoy a taco bar, hear about the team's exciting plans for the season ahead, and engage with other supporters of Titans Softball. 

Attendees are encouraged to sport their favorite Titans gear and experience not only an important fundraising event, but also a welcoming opportunity to socialize with the team, alumni, fans and other supporters of the Titans Softball program.
