CINCINNATI, OHIO – Cal State Fullerton men's soccer fell to Xavier on the road Sunday evening by a final score of 4-1 at Corcoran Field.Â
The Titans fell behind early, giving up the opening goal in just the third minute of action. Xavier went on to score two more goals in the first half of play to take a 3-0 lead going into the locker room at halftime.Â
Fullerton went on the attack in the second half, recording eight shots with five of them being on target. The Titans finally broke through in the 81st minute as Jose de la Torre scored his first collegiate goal to cut the deficit to 3-1.Â
Xavier didn't waste much time regaining a three goal lead, scoring just one minute later in the 82nd minute to extend its lead to 4-1.Â
The Titans finish off the three-game road trip Thursday night as the team heads to Northern California for a matchup against No. 5 Stanford.
