FULLERTON, Calif. — Former Titan EJ Anosike has been named MVP of the National Basketball League (NBL) in China, while also recently being named Best Import Player of the Month.
Anosike has been with Hefei Kuangfeng since June after an impressive stint with Liege Basket in Belgium. He currently stands as the China NBL's leading scorer, averaging 31 points and 10 rebounds per game.
The China NBL MVP award is the latest addition to an impressive slew of accolades for Anosike this year. While with Liege Basket in Belgium, he was named the Belgium Forward of the Year, an ENBL All-Star, First-Team All-Belgium and a First Team BNXT League member. He led Liege to a bronze medal in the ENBL Final Four and to the Belgian League Final Four. Anosike was also named All-Nigeria International Player of the Year.
Anosike spent the 2021-22 season with the Titans, where he was named an All-Big West First Team member and garnered NABC District 9 All-Second Team honors. He was also named a Lou Henson All-American. He led the team with 16.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per contest and helped guide the Titans to a Big West Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance.
