FULLERTON, Calif. — Cal State Fullerton women's basketball head coach Jeff Harada announced the signing of Aaliyah Stanton for the 2024-25 season.
"We are thrilled Aaliyah chose to come back home to California to be a Titan!" said Harada. "With a solid freshman year under her belt, she fits our system well and brings some competitive experience to our young team. She plays with a high motor and her speed and quickness on both ends of the floor will definitely be fun to watch and coach."
A 5-foot-5 guard from San Diego, Stanton averaged 6.2 points per game last season and played in 31 games, making 11 starts. Stanton shot 44.1% from the floor and was a 39.1% three-pointer shooter. She averaged 1.6 assists per game. Stanton earned two Freshman of the Week awards during her time with the Miners and was named a member of the Conference USA All-Freshman team.
Stanton prepped at Rancho Christian High School where she led them to a 27-7 overall record and a CIF Southern Section Division 3A Title. She was named the 20023 CIF-SS Division 3A Player of the Year and earned California Division II All-State First Team honors.
Stanton is the fifth newcomer to sign with the Titans for the 2024-25 campaign. She joins transfer Madelynn Muniz along with the incoming freshman class of Jana Falsdottir, Saroiya Ajomale, Layla Davis, and Maddy Tauro.
