FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton softball secured their seventh series win after a 6-5 walk-off win and a 7-1 victory over Cal Poly on Saturday. The Titans improve to 31-15 overall and 17-3 in Big West play. They are currently 8-0 when playing at Anderson Family Field this season.Ā

The Cal Poly Mustangs struck first, scoring two runs in the top of the second inning on a fielding error and a sacrifice fly ball.Ā
The Titans jumped on the board in the fifth inning, capitalizing on a wild pitch, before
Colby McClinton sent her second home run ball of the season over the fence for a 3-2 go-ahead, two-run lead.Ā
The Mustangs sent a double into left field in the top of the sixth to grab another 4-3 lead over the Titans before extending the lead to 5-3 in the seventh with another sacrifice fly.Ā

Hannah Becerra for a two-run double to left center that tied the game at 5-5.Ā
Kika Ramirez re-entered the game with two outs on the board and Becerra on second base. Ramirez turned on a full count, beating out a hard-hit ball to third base to score Becerra in walk-off fashion.Ā
The Titans, with the help of
Haley Rainey (5.2 IP, 9 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 6 K) and
Staci Chambers (1.1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2K), completed the late-inning comeback win (6-5) over the Mustangs despite getting out-hit 11-9.Ā

Ramirez opened the scoring in the first inning with a three-run home run to left field after walking off the day's first game. Ramirez recorded her first home run of the season and the fifth of her career.Ā
Up 3-0,
Megan Delgadillo extended Fullerton's lead to 4-0 after driving in her 15th run of the season in the second inning with an RBI single that scored McClinton.Ā
The Titans saw a 5-0 lead over the Mustangs through five innings as
Bailey Wallace extended their lead in the fourth with a single to left field.Ā
A double by Cal Poly to left-center ended a shutout run by Chambers and the Titans in the sixth inning, decreasing Fullerton's lead to 5-1.
Leanna Garcia entered in relief of Chambers (5.1 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 6 K) in the sixth inning. Garcia went on to no-hit the Mustangs through the final inning and a third with three strikeouts.Ā
Delgadillo (2-for-4, 2B, 3 RBI, SB) drove in two more runs later that inning with a double to center field, scoring
Peyton Toto (single) and
KK Christie (double).Ā
The Titans and Mustangs are set to close the series at Anderson Family Field on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.Ā
