Titans Drop Final Game at Home against UC Davis

FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's water polo team dropped their final game of the regular season in a 14-3 loss against the No. 17 UC Davis Aggies on Saturday afternoon at the Titan Aquatics Center

The Titans will be the No. 8 seed at next week's Big West Championship hosted by UC Davis. They will take on the No. 1 University of Hawai'i in their first game at 10 AM on Friday, April 26th. 

The Titans had three goal scorers for the day with all three seniors, Shyanne Rainey, Delaney Wilder, and Kieran Scout Bates getting on the scoresheet.  Annabelle Sherman made 9 saves in the cage for the Titans.

The Titans scored the first goal of the game as Shyanne Rainey opened the scoring in the first quarter.



The Aggies went on to score three unanswered goals to end the period with a 3-1 advantage over the Titans. 

Delaney Wilder opened up the scoring for the Titans in the second quarter before the Aggies responded with two goals of their own. 



Kieran Scout Bates scored to make it a 5-3 game, however the Aggies once again scored three unanswered goals to end the quarter and took a 8-3 lead into halftime.



The Aggies shutout the Titans during the second half and scored six goals with three in the third and three in the fourth to win the game 14-3. 

Before the game, the Titans were able to honor their ten seniors in a pregame ceremony.  The ceremony featured seven student-athletes from the inaugural Titans women's water polo team. Haden Scout Bates, Kieran Scout Bates, Sydney Brouwer, Faith Cuevas, Americul Mendoza, Emily Midgley, Vicharadani Minott, Brittney Pino, Shyanne Rainey, Delaney Wilder
