Titans Post Strong Performances at Mt. SAC Relays

WALNUT, Calif. — Cal State Fullerton outdoor track and field posted five podium finishes Friday at the Mt. SAC Relays.

The Titans' women's 4x100m relay team earned the first podium finish of the day, finishing second with a time of 45.57. The squad was composed of Rayann Booker, Trinity Barnett, Tayla Brunger and Aryianna Faircloth and earned the fourth fastest time in the event in program history. 

Fullerton's women's 4x400m relay team also shined Friday, earning a third-place finish with a time of 3:40.75. Nancy Dematte, Arionn Livingston, Alyssa Heinlein and Grace Goldsworthy made up the squad. Heinlein also finished ninth in the women's 400H with a personal-best 59.84, good for third in program history. 

Alonzo Floriolli placed third in the men's 100m, clocking in at a wind-aided time of 10.18. Ian Dossman finished sixth with a wind-aided 10.28, while Dominic Gates placed ninth with a wind-aided 10.39. Floriolli also placed fourth in the men's 200m, matching his personal-best time of 20.94. Gates followed in sixth with a 20.97 while Isaiah Emerson placed 11th with a 21.08. 

In the men's 400m, Maleik Pabon finished 17th with a 47.45 while Emerson followed in 25th with a time of 47.77. Chris Goode clocked a 48.01, finishing in 29th place. Donovan Garcia posted a personal-best 52.55 in the men's 400m hurdles, placing 13th. 

Barnett led Fullerton in both the women's 100m and 200m, clocking a 11.64 in the 100m to place 16th. Rayann Booker followed in 26th with a 11.81. In the women's 200m, Barnett clocked a 24.26 to finish in 26th. Ileen Emerson clocked a personal-best 13.97 in the women's 100m hurdles to finish ninth. Mia Reid followed in 17th with a 14.22. 

Justice Mephors led the Titans' field competitors Friday, placing second in the men's discus with a toss of 52.76m. He now sits third all-time in program history in the event. Enrique Lara finished second in section C of the men's high jump, clearing a height of 1.97m.

The Titans return to action tomorrow, Saturday, Apr. 20, as they wrap up competition at the Mt. SAC Relays.
