FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton women's volleyball dropped its final game of the 2024 season at home to Hawaii (19-25, 15-25, 18-25) Friday night. The Titans finish the season with a 4-24 record and 0-18 in Big West play.
The Titans found an early 3-0 lead over the University of Hawaii on a kill by
Lyla Traylor and two UH attacking errors. The Rainbow Wahine evened the set at 11-11 before extending their lead to 17-14.
Traylor recorded her 245th kill of the season to bring the Titans within two of the Rainbow Wahine, who led 18-16. As a team, the Titans recorded 12 kills on 37 attacks, hitting a match-high .216 before falling to Hawaii in the first set (19-25).
Traylor worked the Titans to a 3-0 lead in the third set with her seventh kill of the match. The Titans found 10 more kills before falling to Hawaii, 18-25. The senior outside hitter finished her career as a Titan with 815 total kills, 250 of which came during the 2024 season.
Chacon closed out her career in a Fullerton uniform atop the statistical leader board with 298 digs and 3.08 digs per set in 2024. In her two seasons as a Titan, Chacon amassed 488 digs and 2.87 digs per set.
Together, the 2024 Titans offensively hit a combined .160 percentage with 1100 kills and 108 service aces. As a team, they recorded 170 blocks and 1292 digs.
