FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's tennis team had a perfect start to the spring season after sweeping Azuza Pacific and Westcliff 4-0 each on Saturday at the Titan Courts.

The Titans (2-0) had their home opener in perfect weather on Saturday after having their scheduled home opener against the No. 22 University of San Diego rained out last weekend.

Cal State Fullerton 4, Azusa Pacific 0
In their first match of the season, the Titans were able to sweep Azusa Pacific 4-0. The Titans secured the doubles point early after the No. 3 pairing of Kaytlin Taylor/Seha Yu and No. 1 pairing of Natalie Duffy/Sein Myoung won their matches. In singles play, the No. 5 Mariia Nikitash, No. 6 Milena Gevorgyan, and No. 3 Seha Yu won their matches in straight sets to secure the 4-0 win.

In the second match of the day, the Titans also swept Westcliff University.  

It took all three games before the Titans were able to clinch the doubles point.  The No. 3 pairing of Seha Yu/Kaytlin Taylor won their match while the No. 2 pairing of Mariia Nikitash/Milena Gevorgyan were defeated in theirs. In the No.1 deciding game, Natalie Duffy/Sein Myoung won their match 7-5 to put the Titans on top 1-0. In singles play, No. 6 Milena Gegorgyan, No. 1 Natalie Duffy, and No. 3 Seha Yu won their games to clinch the win for the Titans.

No. 2 Mariia Nikitash/Milena Georgyan were defeated by Emilse Ruiz/Kanon Sorakubo 6-3.
No. 3 Kaytlin Taylor/Seha defeated Lois Tsui/Hana Moss 6-0.
