Fullerton, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's basketball defeated the Concordia University Irvine Golden Eagles 80-56 on Saturday afternoon at home.

The Titans had four different scorers reach double digit points.  Ashlee Lewis led the team with 18 points and 10 rebounds on 7-for-9 shooting.  Demonnie Lagway had 11 points and five assists and five rebounds.  Hope Hassmann had 10 points and 11 assists.  Eva Levingston had 10 points on 5-for-7 shooting and 6 rebounds.

Izzy Navarro led all scorers and the Golden Eagles with 19 points.

After the first quarter the Titans narrowly led 19-to-17.  However in the second quarter, The Titans pulled away a little bit to take a 38 to 26 lead into halftime

The Titans scored 21 points and the Golden Eagles scored 20 points in the third quarter.  However, in the fourth quarter, the Titans pulled away, outscoring CUI 21-to-10 as the Golden Eagles ran out of gas.

The Titans made four of their six three pointers made for the game in the fourth quarter. Gabi Vidmar, Allysan Tse, Ashlee Lewis, and Kathryn Neff all sank a basket from beyond the arc in the fourth quarter. Hope Hassmann had five of  her eleven recorded assists happen in the fourth quarter as well.

The Titans officially begin the 2023-24 season on Friday, November 10th at the University of the Pacific. Tip-off is set for 6:00 pm.
