Aubeli, Nichols and Hernandez combine for all three Titan goals

FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton men's water polo dropped their final home game of the season to No. 6 UC Irvine, 21-3, on Saturday night. The Titans stand 16-14 overall (5-5 at home, 11-5 at neutral sites) and are 0-5 in Big West play.

Julian Nichols opened the scoring for the Titans three minutes into the game off a pass from Shelby Johnson to break UCI's 3-0 lead. Nichols has 50 goals on the season, three shy of Togan Ozbek who leads the team with 53 and is ranked fifth in the Big West. At the end of the first quarter, the Titans trailed 5-1.

The Anteaters continued their run in the second quarter, putting up eight goals against the Titans. Bende Aubeli added another goal in an effort to chip away at their deficit, awarding Ozbek with his 38th assist of the season.
