2024 Softball Schedule 2024 Easton Classic 2024 Judi Garman 2024 LBSU/CSF Tournament
FULLERTON, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton softball team announced its schedule for the 2024 season on Tuesday. Head Coach Kelly Ford leads the Titans in a 54-game season, including 27 home games at Anderson Family Field.
"I am excited to get on the field with this group of athletes who have worked their tails off this fall and have no doubt elevated their softball performance," Ford said. "We are ready to go."
The schedule highlights 12 teams that made the NCAA Tournament in 2023 including one program (Tennessee) that made it to the College World Series.
The Titans host three of the five tournaments in which they are slated to compete. The Titans will open the season on the road at UCLA for a 5 p.m. start on Thursday, Feb. 8, before returning home to host the Easton Classic (Feb. 9-11). They play four games in three days, opening and closing the tournament against Colorado State (Feb. 9 and 11). They play a doubleheader against UIC and Pacific on Feb. 10.
Fullerton travels to Arizona for the three-day Littlewood Classic starting on Friday, Feb. 16. The Titans play two doubleheaders in two days against Memphis and California on Friday, and BYU and Arizona State on Saturday (Feb. 17). They finish the weekend with Grand Canyon University on Sunday, Feb. 18.
The Titans make a stop at Loyola Marymount for their first-midweek game of the season on Wednesday, Feb. 21, before continuing tournament play at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in Cathedral City, California (Feb. 23-25). They begin the tournament on Friday with a doubleheader against Tennessee and Missouri, play one game with Mississippi State on Saturday (Feb. 24), and wrap up the weekend on Sunday with another doubleheader against Seattle University and Nebraska.
Ford and her squad return home to host the prestigious Judi Garman Classic (Feb. 29-March 3), The lineup includes four teams that appeared at the NCAA tournament last season. Fullerton will play five games, starting off with a doubleheader against Michigan and Florida on Thursday (Feb. 29). They will play one game a day for the last three days of the tournament against Texas A&M (Friday, March 1), Fresno State (Saturday, March 2) and Oregon State (Sunday, March 3).
The Titans close out the tournament section of the schedule by co-hosting a tournament with Long Beach State at Anderson Family Field (March 7-10). They take on Toledo and Fairfield on Thursday (March 7) and Princeton on Friday (March 8). The weekend closes against San Diego State on Saturday (March 9) and Yale on Sunday (March 10).
The Titans kick off Big West conference play with back-to-back road series against UC Davis (March 15-16) and Cal State Bakersfield (March 23-24). They host their final midweek game against the University of Oregon on Tuesday, March 26, before hosting their first home conference series with UC Riverside (March 29-30).
This season, softball spends spring break on the road in Northridge for a three-game series against CSUN (April 5-6). Big West play returns to Fullerton as the Titans take on UC San Diego (April 12-13). Conference play continues at UC Santa Barbara (April 20-21) and in Fullerton against Cal Poly (April 27-28) before the Titans fly to Hawai'i for their final road series of the season (May 3-4).
The Titans conclude their regular season at home versus cross-town rival Long Beach State on May 10-11.
"The seniors, especially, are hungry and laser-focused, which is always exciting to be around as a coach," Ford said. "I appreciate their openness to our new coaching staff and feel like the coaches have really brought the definition of what it means to compete in every pitch to our fall ball. It is now my job to carry that into the spring."
Season tickets will go on sale to the public Wednesday, Nov. 29 along with individual game tickets on FullertonTitansTickets.com. Fans can also access Judi Garman Tournament Passes and Tournament Day Passes on Wednesday. Single-game tickets will not be sold for tournaments.
