LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's softball team defeated Loyola Marymount University 4-2 on Tuesday evening at Smith Field.

The Titans improve to 28-15 on the season while the Lions fall to 28-14.

The Titans outhit the Lions 10-to-6 for the game.  Daisy Munoz led the Titans by going 3-for-4 with 1 run and 1 RBI and swatted her 5th homerun of the season.  Kika Ramirez had a solo home run as well. Alexa Neil was 2-for-3 at the dish and the only other Titan with a multi-hit game.

Staci Chambers got the start in the circle and pitched two innings allowing one run on three hits, one walk, and struck out one.  Alexia Silvas pitched the middle of the game going three innings and picking up the win.  Silvas allowed one run on two hits, one walk, and struck out two.  Raci Miranda picked up her first career save after tossing the final two frames.  Miranda allowed just one hit, one walk, and struck out one.

The Titans struck first in the 1st inning after Daisy Munoz hit a solo blast over the LF fence for her 5th home run of the season.

The Titans added a second run in the 2nd inning after Kika Ramirez hit a bomb over the left center wall off the tennis court fences to give the Titans a 2-0 lead.

The Lions scored a run in the second and third inning to tie the game at 2-2.

The Titans added two in the fifth inning to give them the lead once and for all.  Megan Delgadillo led the inning off with a chopped base hit over the 1B's glove.  She stole second base for her 33rd stolen bag of the season.  She came around to score after Hannah Becerra had a base hit through the left side and the left fielder mishandled the ball which allowed Delgadillo to score.

Hannah Becerra would eventually come around to score on a sac fly to right field by Deshea Hill

The Titans head to Isla Vista this weekend to take on UC Santa Barbara for a three game set.  They'll play a single game on Friday before a doubleheader on Saturday.
