NCAA Tournament Interactive Bracket

FULLERTON, Calif. – The 2026 Big West champion Cal State Fullerton softball team was selected to the NCAA Los Angeles Regional after earning the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Hosted by No. 8 national seed UCLA, the regional will take place May 15-17 at Easton Stadium in Westwood. Gates will open 90 minutes before first pitch, and all games will be streamed on the ESPN family of networks. Tickets for the Regional will go on sale Monday, May 11 at 10 a.m.

The Titans, who finished the regular season 40-13 overall and 24-3 in Big West play, are set to make their 33rd postseason appearance. They will compete alongside South Carolina, Cal Baptist and the Bruins.

The No. 3 seed Titans begin the regional against No. 2 seed South Carolina on Friday, May 15, at 4:30 p.m. PT on ESPN+. The No. 1 seed Bruins will face No. 4 seed Cal Baptist at 7 p.m. PT on ESPN2. 

Fullerton turns its focus to NCAA postseason play following its 3-0 run at the second annual Big West Championship, where they defeated UC Davis, 4-0, Hawai'i, 6-4, and UC Santa Barbara, 1-0. They are slashing .340/.398/.501 with 475 hits, including 69 doubles, six triples and 48 home runs, while scoring 316 runs and driving in 281 runs.

Defensively, the Titans have turned 32 double plays, the sixth most in the nation, and rank 24th nationally with a .975 fielding percentage. Their 40 sacrifice bunts also rank 17th in the country.  

Fullerton's first opponent will be USA Softball's No. 23 South Carolina Gamecocks, who hold a 30-26 overall record and a 7-17 losing record in SEC play. The Gamecocks were eliminated in the first round of the SEC Tournament with a 2-0 loss to Ole Miss. 

The Titans are 5-0 all-time against South Carolina. Their last postseason meeting came at the 1983 Women's College World Series, where Fullerton won 2-0. The last time the teams met was in 2003. Fullerton has not faced Cal Baptist in the postseason and is 3-14 against UCLA in NCAA regional play.
