Phoenix, Ariz. - The Cal State Fullerton women's softball team dominated Santa Clara in their final game of the Purple Classic after an 14-1 victory on Sunday afternoon at the GCU Softball Stadium.

An eleven run fifth inning capped off the weekend for the Titans who outscored their opponents 37-to-14 for the weekend.

8 different batters in the Titans lineup had at least one hit with four players having multi-hit games. Peyton Toto led the team by going 3-for-4 with 2 runs and 1 RBI.  Megan Delgadillo had 2 hits and scored 3 runs.  Deshea Hill had 2 hits (one HR), and 3 RBIs.  Hannah Becerra had a 3-run homerun.  Antuanett Dean was 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI.

Staci Chambers picked up the win after allowing just one run (unearned) on three hits, one walk, and striking out three.  Myka Sutherlin tossed a scoreless inning of relief pitching.

The Titans led from the 2nd inning on when Deshea Hill hit a homerun to LF.  They made it a 3-1 game when Antuanett Dean got a rally started with a one out bunt single.  Delgadillo reached on an error and Peyton Toto drove one run in.  Delgadillo would come around to score on a wild pitch.

Santa Clara would get one run back in the third inning but Delgadillo had a great throw at the plate to prevent the first run from scoring that got the second out of the inning.

In the fifth inning, the Titans sent 16 batters to the dish.  Hannah Becerra had a 3-run homer over the left field fence.  With two outs in the inning, the Titans still had 11 batters get to the dish.  Taylor Tropp had a pinch-hit RBI single for her first hit of the season.  Anaiya MItchell had a RBI single to left field.  Antuanett Dean had a RBI single to center field.  Deshea Hill had a 2-RBI single down the right field line.  And Peyton Kelly had a double to right center that scored one for her first hit of the season.

The Titans head to the prestigious Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic next week where they will square off against three ranked opponents #9 Arizona, San Diego State, #1 Oklahoma, Northwestern, and #12 Oregon.

First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 PM on Thursday against the University of Arizona.
