FULLERTON, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton men's and women's outdoor track and field team is set to host the Big West Challenge at Titan Track this Friday, April 8th.
The Big West Challenge is the second meet of the year hosted by the Titans and will feature three other Big West squads including Long Beach State, UC Irvine and UC Santa Barbara.
The one-day meet will begin at 2:30pm starting with the field events, running late into night with the last event beginning at 9pm.

LAST TIME ON THE TRACK
The Titans saw multiple strong performances including a first place finish from freshman Darion Zimmerman in the 400 meter dash to finish the weekend at the UCLA Legends Invitational last weekend.
Zimmerman was the only Titan to come home with a first place finish with his time of 47.50, while four additional Titans also dished out a pair of second place and a pair of third place finishes.
The duo of freshman Stephanie Cortez and sophomore Eli Penick both brought home second place finishes in the 1,500 meter run and 100 meter dash, respectively. Cortez set a new personal record with her time of 4:44.35 while Penick matched his season-best with his time of 10.59.
Junior Shelby Hernandez Jr. and senior Steven Parsons both earned third place finishes and set new personal records in the 800 meter run and the hammer throw, respectively.
Hernandez Jr.'s performance is a squad season-best with his time of 1:51.30 while Parsons' throw of 55.21m is also a personal best.
Parsons' also set a new personal record in the shot put with his throw of 14.59m.
India Owens set a new personal record in the 100m hurdles with her time of 14.48 while Tommy Medina also set a new personal record in the 400m with his time of 48.88.
Laura Hamann also set a new personal record in the triple jump with her performance of 11.61m.
