FULLERTON, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton (12-8) softball team was led by a complete game four-hitter from Christina Washington while a two-run home run from Eliza Crawford was enough offense to shutout Boise State (7-13), 2-0, at Anderson Family Field on Saturday afternoon.

With CSF's Sarah Moore reaching base on a fielding error by Broncos' third baseman Sara Ketelsleger in the fourth frame, Crawford, the lone senior on the team, blasted her second home run of the season over the left center fence to give the Titans a 2-0 lead that was never surrendered.

Cal State Fullerton sophomore Christina Washington (7-2) was superb in the circle, notching her team-high seventh victory and third shutout of the season. The Inglewood, Calif., native tossed the full seven frames issuing four walks while fanning two. Washington navigated herself out of several jams, stranding six Broncos on the base paths to thwart any BSU momentum.

Broncos' starter Rachel Rodriguez (3-6) turned in six innings of work in the loss, surrendering five hits and two runs.

The Titans will wrap up competition co-hosting the Louisville Slugger Tournament tomorrow against Portland State at 12:30 p.m. at Mayfair Park in Lakewood, Calif.

Game Notes: Missy Taukeiaho fouled off a whopping 16 pitches in a 21 pitch at-bat to earn her team-high 17th walk of the year…Crawford is only the second Titan to record more than one home run on the season with two, while three others (Moore, Kylie Padilla, Lexi Gonzalez) have one apiece, and Taukeiaho leads the squad with seven…The Titans now have a 4-0 advantage in the all-time series with Boise State after today's decision following a 15-4 rout earlier this season on Feb. 13 in Las Vegas…CSF has posted a 5-1 record on Saturday's and a 6-2 mark in home games... Courtney Rodriguez (0-for-3) snapped her hitting streak at nine games… Fullerton is now 7-2 when the offense manages to score first…Washington has now tied CSF teammate Desiree Ybarra with a team-high fourth complete game.
