Trisha (McCormick) Senyo joined the Cal State Fullerton Titan Softball program in fall 2024 as an assistant coach.
Senyo previously served as the Associate Athletic Director/Senior Woman Administrator and Head Softball Coach at Whittier College since 2018. She oversaw all NCAA and SCIAC compliance matters, while monitoring student-athlete eligibility, providing regular compliance education to all student-athletes, staff and coaches and prepared all annual compliance reports. She also served as the Deputy Title IX Coordinator for Athletics.
Across eight seasons, Senyo led Whittier College Softball to a combined 114-95 overall record with a top 5 ranking in SOS within Region X. Under her leadership, the program saw 20 All-Conference nominees, three All-Region nominees and two NCAA Statistical Leader awards. This includes 55 NFCA Academic All-American recipients and three NFCA Academic Team honors.
Senyo spent the 2014-2015 season at Riverside City College as her introduction to the CCCAA and worked primarily with infielders, hitters and the battery. Prior to RCC, Senyo was the First Assistant Coach at Sonoma State University (SSU) from 2010-2014. In addition to her softball duties, Senyo was the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator for the department and worked with many of SSU's 13 intercollegiate teams including Men's and Women's Golf, and Men's and Women's Soccer, all of which saw post-season competition.
In 2010, Senyo helped lead the Seawolves to a program-record 43 wins before recording 149 additional wins in the next four years. During that span, the program was nationally ranked in the top 25 three times while also seeing back-to-back CCAA tournament championships and 5 NCAA tournament appearances. Senyo assisted in achieving 24 All-Conference selections, 20 All-Region selections, three All-Americans as well as setting new records for single season home runs, team batting average, on base percentage, most hits, total bases and walks as well as increasing team totals for stolen bases from an average of 54 to 139 within a season.
Prior to her stint at Sonoma State, she served as the assistant coach at Whittier College alongside head coach Jennifer Bridges, helping the Poets to a 24-18 record in 2009 and the program’s first ever SCIAC Tournament appearance.
Senyo graduated Cum Laude from the University of La Verne in 2008 with departmental honors and a B.A. in Studio Art before obtaining her M.S. in Fitness and Sports Nutrition from Canisius College. She was a four-year letter winner on the softball team, while earning All-SCIAC honors and holds a USAW Level 1 Club Coach Certification.
She currently resides in La Verne, CA with her husband Mike Senyo and son Nikolai.
