Justin Ramsey

Justin Ramsey

Justin Ramsey joined the Cal State Fullerton baseball coaching staff in September of 2026 as the team's pitching coach.

Prior to joining the Titans, Ramsey served as the pitching coach for the Single-A Delmarva Shorebirds where he earned South Atlantic League coach of the year accolades. He moved up to Double-AA with the Bowie Bay Sox in 2021 before eventually taking the reins of the Triple-AAA Norfolk Tides pitching staff from 2022-2025.

Ramsey’s baseball career spans back to his playing days as a closer and relief pitcher for Oral Roberts in 2003-2004 where he earned All-American honors in helping lead the Golden Eagles to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances. He ranks fourth all-time with 18 career saves for Oral Roberts.

Following his collegiate career, Ramsey played three seasons in the Golden Baseball League with the Long Beach Armada, finishing third in the rookie of the year voting while simultaneously working in the offseason with Sacramento City College and Andy McKay.

Following his time at Sacramento City, Ramsey spent four seasons at Long Beach State. Ramsey's impact on the pitching staff was instrumental at Long Beach. In his three seasons, the staff never collectively held an ERA over 3.64 in a season. In the previous three seasons, the team had averaged over a 4.00 ERA combined. In 2013, the pitching staff ended the season with an opponent batting average of .238 and an ERA of 2.97, the lowest for the program since 2005.

In 2013, Ramsey worked under Scott Pickler coaching the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox of the Cape Cod League, the premier collegiate summer ball league in the nation. Ramsey also spent time leading the pitching staff at Nova Southeastern (Fla.) from 2015-2018, helping lead them to the 2016 NCAA DII National Championship. From there, Ramsey moved up to professional baseball, joining the Baltimore Orioles system in 2019 where he worked with former Titan Thomas Eshelman.
