Josh Belovsky joined the Cal State Fullerton baseball staff in 2021 as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator, bringing more than two decades of collegiate coaching and professional scouting experience to the Titans.
At Fullerton, Belovsky has been instrumental in recruiting, player evaluation, development and on-field coaching. During his tenure, 10 Titans have been selected in the MLB Draft, including Caden Conner, JoJo Ingrassia, Cole Urman, Nate Nankil, Christian Rodriguez, Andrew Morones, Evan Yates, Mikiah Negrete, Joseph Jasso and Paul Contreras. Four additional Titans have signed as undrafted free agents: Austin Schell (Twins), Maddox Latta (Blue Jays), Jayden Harper (Angels), Jackson Lyon (Yankees) and Andrew Wright (Padres). Former Titan commit Nacho Alvarez was selected in the fifth round by Atlanta in 2022 and reached the Major Leagues in 2024.
In 2023, Fullerton was ranked among the nation's Top 25 and advanced to the NCAA Stanford Regional. Belovsky has also helped recruit numerous Big West All-Conference selections, including 2025 Perfect Game Freshman All-American Carter Johnstone and 2026 Big West Field Player of the Year Paul Contreras.
Before joining Fullerton, Belovsky spent 15 years with the Milwaukee Brewers, including six as West Coast Regional Supervisor. He joined the Brewers in 2006 as a Southern California and Hawaii Area Scout. During his scouting career, he evaluated and recommended numerous future Major Leaguers, including former Titans Erik Komatsu, Khris Davis and Nick Ramirez, as well as Corbin Burnes, Brice Turang, Garrett Mitchell, Aaron Ashby and Lucas Erceg.
Belovsky began his collegiate coaching career at Cypress College in 2001 and later spent five seasons at Orange Coast College as pitching coach, recruiting coordinator and associate head coach. He played collegiately at Cypress College, Texas Tech and the University of Kansas before spending four years in professional baseball, including time in the Boston Red Sox organization.
Belovsky earned his B.S. in Kinesiology from Cal State Fullerton in 2004 and his M.A. in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University in 2007. He is married to Sara and has a son, Luke, and daughter, Lili.
