Brittany Aikens

Brittany Aikens is returning to Cal State Fullerton women's basketball program where she was previously a coach from 2022-2024.  This is her first year under head coach John Bonner's staff and her third season overall at Cal State Fullerton. Aikens will also serve as the recruiting coordinator for the Titans.

Coach Aikens brings a versatile coaching background centered around player development, recruiting, and tactical contributions on both ends of the floor.

Prior to returning to Fullerton, Aikens served as Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Army West Point, where she helped lead the Black Knights to a 25-win season—tied for the second-most in program history—and a runner-up finish in both the Patriot League regular season and championship tournament. Army earned an automatic bid to the Women’s National Invitation Tournament (WNIT) and secured the program’s first-ever postseason victory. At Army, Aikens worked on the defensive side of the ball, contributing to a unit that finished 26th nationally in scoring defense. She coached First Team All-Patriot League and All-Defensive Team selection Trinity Hardy, as well as Second Team All-Patriot League honoree Reese Erickson.

During her previous stint at Cal State Fullerton, she assisted on the offensive side of the ball and helped guide the Titans to back-to-back Big West Tournament appearances. She coached several all-conference players, including All-Big West Second Team honorees Fujika Nimmo and Una Jovanovic.

Before Fullerton, Aikens spent two seasons at Seattle University, assisting on defense and playing a key role in the development of standout guard Bree Calhoun, who earned WAC Sixth Woman of the Year, Second Team All-WAC, and WAC All-Defensive Team honors.

Aikens began her coaching career at the University of Nevada, Reno, first as a graduate assistant while earning her master’s degree, then as Director of Player Development, gaining valuable experience in recruiting, scouting, and individual player growth.

As a player, Aikens competed at Fresno State from 2013–16, helping lead the Bulldogs to a Mountain West Conference championship game, an NCAA Tournament appearance, and a WNIT bid. She began her collegiate career at Howard College and later played semi-professionally for the SoCal Splash, winning both conference and regional titles.

Aikens holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from Fresno State, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Cal State San Bernardino, and a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration.

Originally from Las Vegas and raised near San Antonio, Aikens is known for her relational coaching style, detailed approach to the game, and strong national recruiting network.

Brittany lives with her wife Kamoni Aikens.
