Matt Wilson returns to Cal State Fullerton as an assistant coach for the 2026-27 season after previously serving on the Titans’ coaching staff from 2020-23.
A former Titan standout (2015-19), Wilson helped lead the men's golf program to its most recent Big West Championship title in 2019, claiming the individual championship with a 5-under-par 211 (75-68-68). He was named to the All-Big West First Team and earned Big West Golfer of the Month honors in April 2019. Wilson recorded a career-best 67 strokes three times during his collegiate career.
In four seasons with the Titans under head coach Jason Drotter, Wilson competed in 43 of 44 tournaments and posted a 73.4 career scoring average. He recorded a career-best 207 as a freshman, shot par or better 11 times and finished in the top five four times.
Wilson graduated from Cal State Fullerton in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology.
