FULLERTON, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton softball team secured the series sweep over Cal Poly with a 2-0 shutout victory on Sunday at Anderson Family Field. The Titans improved to 14-9 overall and 3-0 in Big West play.Â
The Titans jumped to an early 2-0 lead over the Mustangs in the first inning when
Nataly Lozano (1-for-1, R, 2 RBI, 2 BB) sent a ball over the center field wall for a two-out, two-run home run. This marked her second home run of the series.Â

The Titans went on to strand bases loaded twice, leaving a total of six runners on base. They drew four walks and stole two bases courtesy of

Trisha McCleskey (4.0 IP) and
Leanna Garcia (3.0 IP) combined for the shutout win, allowing just three hits each while striking out five. McCleskey improved to 9-6 overall and Garcia earned her third save of the season.Â
The Titans travel to the University of Hawai'i for their first road series of conference play. The Titans and Hawai'i will play a doubleheader on Friday starting at 7 p.m. PT and a single game on Saturday at 4 p.m. PT.Â
