FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton right-hander Trisha McCleskey was named Big West Pitcher of the Week after her performance at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, marking the first weekly conference honor earned by Titans Softball this season.

McCleskey received her third career Pitcher of the Week honor. Her first award came in April 2025 after an impressive contribution to Fullerton's 2025 road sweep over Long Beach State. She was named All-Big West First Team last season and earned preseason recognition entering the 2026 campaign. She was also ranked No. 61 in D1Softball's Mid-Major D100 Player Rankings prior to the season. 

At the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, the redshirt junior made four appearances, including two complete-game starts against Rutgers and Auburn. McCleskey fanned 14 batters on strikes over 17.2 innings, including three combined against No. 3 Oklahoma and No. 16 Oregon. She tossed three innings out of the bullpen in Fullerton's 7-3 victory over No. 16 Oregon, allowing one hit. Over the weekend, McCleskey allowed nine runs on 19 hits and seven walks. 

Overall, McCleskey stands 4-6 with a 4.76 ERA across 58.2 innings. She has 45 strikeouts in 15 appearances and has allowed 31 earned runs. 

The Titans are back at Anderson Family Field on Thursday, Feb. 26, for a game against BYU at noon.
