Team Mexico qualified for its first Olympic Games in 2019 after going undefeated at the WBSC Softball Americas Olympic Qualifier. At the Tokyo Olympics, Mexico finished just shy of the podium, falling to Canada 3-2 in the bronze medal match.

Titans associate head coach Jorge Araujo was named head coach of Mexico's national softball team in March 2022 and previously led its junior national team beginning in 2019. Under his leadership, Mexico earned a bronze medal at the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games and finished sixth at the 2022 WBSC Americas World Cup qualifiers. In December 2024, Araujo, along with former Titans Daisy Munoz and Jessi Alcala, won the Puerto Rico International Challenger in Salinas, Puerto Rico. CSUN and Cal State Fullerton opened the 2026 season at the Easton Classic, held Feb. 5–8 at Anderson Family Field. The Titans upset nationally ranked Ole Miss 5-4 in the season opener and finished the weekend 3-3. CSUN opened the season 1-4, highlighted by an 8-2 win over Portland State.
