SAN JACINTO, Calif. – The final round of the Soboba Spring Classic came down to two Titans as Davina Xanh and Kaitlyn Zermeno Smith tied for first place Sunday afternoon. 

Zermeno Smith beat out Xanh in a playoff to take home her first individual tournament victory of her career. The third-year Titan shot an even par 216 with a 72 in round one followed by a 73 in round two and a 1-under par 71 in the final round. 

Xanh, who still finished tied for first place, earned a share of her third tournament victory of her career. The junior shot an even par 216, shooting a 75 in round one before improving with a 1-under par 71 in round two followed by a 2-under par 70 in the third and final round. 

Katharina Zeilinger placed 14th after shooting 10-over par 226 (78-72-76). Jordyn Janert shot a 19-over par 235 (79-77-79) to place tied for 24th. Zara Ali finished the tournament tied for 27th with a 22-over par 238 (77-81-80). 

As a team the Titans finished in third place with a total score of 27-over par 891. UC Irvine took first place after shooting 16-over par 880. 

The Titans are back in action Saturday, Feb. 15 through Monday, Feb. 17 at the Alice and John Wallace Golf Classic hosted by Long Beach State in Palm Desert.
