ORLANDO, Fla. – The Cal State Fullerton Dance Team made history on January 18th, winning their first ever UDA National Championship in Division 1 Pom at the National Collegiate Dance Team Championship held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports January 16th -18th.  

This is the one title that the Titans Dance Team had yet to capture, setting their sights on Pom. Their goal was to start off strong, which is exactly what they did in the semifinals, scoring in first out of 19 teams and never looked back. In the Finals, the Titans brought their energy and fire, remaining in first while increasing their overall score to 95.90 and winning the 2025 UDA National Champion Division 1 Pom Title.  

"We are so proud of this team and their historical accomplishment. This was our 11th season competing in the Pom division…always coming up short and placing anywhere from 2nd to 5th place," said head coach Jennie Volkert. "Back in September, when we learned this routine…we just knew it was something special, something different, and a winning routine. This team worked day in and day out to perfect this routine and took it to the level of making it a championship routine. We are so proud of these girls and wouldn't have wanted any other team to achieve this goal. They represented Cal State Fullerton and the Titans Athletics Department with pure class. Go Titans!"

The Titans finished in 5th place in Division 1 Jazz. 

With the 2025 UDA National Championship in Division 1 Pom, the Titans Dance Team is now 20-time UDA National Champions
