LONG BEACH, Calif  - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's tennis duo of Sein Myoung and Mariia Nikitash won the doubles title at the Beach Fall Tennis Tournament during the Titans first action of the new season.  

The unseeded pair of Myoung/Nikitash defeated Makaeilah Nepomuceno/Hannah Galindo of Hawaii, 8-4 in the championship match on Sunday.

Myoung had an impressive start to the new season after making it to the semifinals stage in the singles competition as well. Myoung was defeated by Julia Haynes of UCSD in three sets, 1-6, 7-5, 7-0. She was the only Titan to make it to the Round of 16 stage in singles. Milena Gevorgyan and Seha Yu made it to the Round of 32 in singles after winning their first matches, but neither advanced further than the second round.

In doubles, the Titans had all three pairings advance to the Round of 16.   The pairing of Seha Yu/Milena Gevorgyan made it to the Quarterfinal stage but were ousted by the Cal Poly pairing of Mosee/Buntrock.  They were avenged by their teammates in Myoung/Nikitash who defeated the Cal Poly pairing in the semifinals en route to their championship run.

The Titans next tournament will be from October 17th when they head to San Diego for the ITA Regionals.
