FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton fell in straight sets (23-25, 16-25, 15-25) to rival Long Beach State on Satuday night. It marks a three-game losing streak for the Titans.
For the first time this season, it was not Julia Crawford leading the way as Felicia Marshall posted a team-high 11 kills. Crawford was behind her with seven. Makenzi Abelman recorded 25 assists while Savahna Costello had a team-high seven digs.
The first set was a back-and-forth battle as neither team could really get on a scoring run. Unfortunately for the Titans, Long Beach would hang on for a 25-23 win.
That would give the Beach the momentum they needed as they ran away with it in both the second and third sets with 25-16 and 25-15 wins, respectively. LBSU posted a .429 in each of the final two sets dominating Fullerton, who finished below .200 in each.
The Titans will have their final two home matches of the year next weekend as UC Davis and UC Riverside come to Titan Gym on Friday and Saturday.
