Fullerton blanks Azusa Pacific 7-0

Fullerton, Calif. – The Titans blanked Azusa Pacific 7-0 this Wednesday and move to 4-2 this season.
The Titans are now 4-2 this season and it is the first time they win two dual matches in a row this season.
The Titans showed once again that they are hard to beat at home, as they count only one loss while playing at the Titans Tennis Courts.
This win marks the fifth straight win against Azusa Pacific. Also the second 7-0 win in a row after last year's performance where the Titans were able able to blank their opponent.

First win of the day came at No.1 as Karla Portalatin and Sarah Nuno took the 6-3 win.
They were quickly followed by Luxizi Meng and Eira Tobrand at No.3 with their 6-4 win which gave the Titans their first point of the day.
Masako Makiba and Caisey Lee Emery were pairing up at No.2 and made it a swept for the Titans in the doubles with their 6-4 win.

The Titans started the singles the right way as everyone was able to win their first set.
Sarah Nuno was the first one to finish her game with a flawless win 6-0,6-0 against Kara Hinton.
Eira Tobrand also played well at No.6 against Courtney Page. She gave Fullerton a 3-0 lead with her two-set win, 6-3,6-1.
The Titans just needed one more point to clinch the win. Luxizi Meng was the one to get the clinching point with her 6-3,6-3 win over Audrey Stewart.
Meng was quickly followed by Genevieve Zeidan who just came back from injury. For her first dual match participation, the 2018 Big West Freshman of the year was able to wrap it up in two sets, 7-6,6-0 to top APU's Anna Savchenko.
Caisey Lee Emery also got the two-set win against Jacky Wagner 6-4,6-2.
The last singles match and point available was won by Karla Portalatin who dominated Petra Ivankovic on Court One, 6-3,7-6(2).

The Titans will be back in action on Saturday, March 2nd at home again for their second Big West Conference dual match of the season. This will be an important one as they will be taking on rival Long Beach State.
