FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton women's soccer came back from 1-0 down to defeat CSUN by a score of 2-1 on Sunday to win the Big West Championship. It is the program's first title 2015 when they claimed a share of the title. It is the ninth title in program history. As a result of winning the regular season title, the Big West Tournament on November 7 and 10 will be held at Titan Stadium. As the No. 1 seed, the Titans will play No. 4 seed Hawai'i at 7:30 p.m. PT. No. 2 CSUN will play No. 3 UC Santa Barbara at 5 p.m. PT. The Big West Tournament Final is set for Sunday at 5 p.m. PT. All three matches will be played in Titan Stadium.

Fullerton (12-2-4, 5-0-3 Big West) was in control throughout the first half and created numerous chances but The Matadors (11-6-3, 5-3 Big West) took the lead at the 42:54 mark off a defensive blunder for the Titans. CSF had 11 shots and four were on target while also winning seven corner kicks but could not find the goal.

The Titans continued the pressure in the second half and finally got the elusive goal in the 69th from Bennett, her 10th of the season. Senior midfielder Atlanta Primus and junior winger Callie Petrey-Juarez assisted on the play. That is the 12th assist of the season for Primus, the second-best total for a single season in school history.

Fullerton took the lead at the 76:27 mark thanks to junior forward Haley Brown pouncing on a slow ball from senior defender Savannah Sloniger. Brown nutmegged the goalkeeper for her sixth goal of the season and it was Sloniger's first assist of the season.
