Titans Place Fifth Heading into Third and Final Round

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Cal State Fullerton women's golf moved up three spots in round two of the New Mexico State Aggie Invitational to finish day two of the tournament in fifth place at 25-over par 601 Tuesday afternoon in New Mexico.

The Titans had the second best score of the field in round two with a 6-over par 294, helping them move just six strokes behind second place UTEP. Sacramento State holds the lead at 9-over par.

Lou Daniella Uy leads Fullerton individually as she is tied for seventh after two rounds with a 3-over par 147. Uy shot a 2-under par Tuesday after shooting 5-over par in round one of the tournament.

Sophomore Elsa Lundquist moved up one spot on day to finish the round tied for 18th at 6-over par 150. Courtney Sharkey is just one stroke behind Lundquist at 7-over par 151 to leave her tied for 20th.

Pauline Welker is tied for 24th place with one round left in the tournament at 9-over par 153 while Felicia Medalla is tied for 37th at 15-over par 159.

Fullerton returns to action Wednesday morning for the third and final round of the New Mexico State Aggie Invitational.
