Titans Back to the Links at John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate

THIS WEEK: Cal State Fullerton heads back out onto the links this week as the Titans take part in the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate hosted by Georgia State beginning on Sunday.

THE COURSE: The John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate will be held at the Eagle's Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, Ga. The 6,033-yard, par 72 course has been home to the tournament since 2001. The teams will play 18 holes on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday with starts scheduled for 8:30 a.m. ET for the first two rounds and a 9 a.m. start set for the final round.

THE FIELD: Along with the Titans and host Panthers, 13 other teams will participate at the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate including Appalachian State, Brown, Central Michigan, Eastern Kentucky, Elon, Florida Gulf Coast, Illinois State, South Alabama, UAB, UL Monroe, Western Carolina, Western Kentucky and Western Michigan.

IN THE POLLS: The Titans enter the tournament ranked at No. 116 in the country according to the latest Golfweek rankings. They are the third highest ranked team in the field with only Elon (No. 95) and Eastern Kentucky (No. 103) ahead of Fullerton.

LIVE STATS: Fans can follow the action at the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate live through GolfStat.com. Links to the live stats as well as complete results following the conclusion of each round can be found at FullertonTitans.com.

WAGONS EAST: The Titans trip to Stockbridge will be the program's second furthest trek east for a tournament since the 2012-13 season when Fullerton traveled to Buies Creek, N.C. to participate in the Fighting Camel Fall Classic, a tournament the Titans would finish fourth overall. The Titans will stay out east and set a new second-best as they head to Browns Summit, N.C. next week for the Bryan National Intercollegiate.

COMING IN HOT: The Titans are coming off a third place team finish at the Fresno State Classic on March 7-8, a tournament that was shortened to 36 holes due to inclement weather. Martina Edberg scored her third top-five finish and fourth top-10 of the season, placing third overall after posting a 1-under 143, shooting a 3-under 69 in the final round. It was her fifth round scoring in the 60s this season. Nadine Rivera also collected her first career top-10 finish at the Fresno State Classic, tying for 10th place with a 3-over 147.
