FULLERTON, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton women's basketball team will see their first game action this week as they host Concordia (Irvine) in an exhibition game Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
This will be the second time these two teams meet after playing each other in an exhibition match last year, when the Titans won 83-58.
The Titans are in year two under head coach Jeff Harada after having one of the better seasons the program has seen in recent years in 2017-18. They collected a total of eight wins, more than the previous two years combined and shot 38% from the field and averaged 12.3 assists per game last season which are the highest marks for the program since the 2010-11 season. They also averaged 59.9 points per game which is the highest mark since the 2013-14 season.
This year's squad returns eight players from last year including four of their starters in Jade Vega, Hannah Thompson, Carolyn Gill, and All-Big West Second Team selection Daeja Smith. They also welcome six newcomers with four freshmen and two transfers, both of which will be redshirting.
Tickets for the game can be purchased here.
CSF will open up their regular season on Nov. 6 in the Pacific Northwest when they take on Seattle University. Tip-off for that game is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at the Redhawk Center.
